Stella Louise McCall, passed away in Okmulgee on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 72.
Stella was born on January 25, 1946 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Ruby Lee (Thorns) and Albert Leon Demery. She grew up in Beggs, Oklahoma where she attended Tolon Community School and Wheatley Public Schools.
On October 3, 1964 she married Clyde McCall and from this union, nine children were born. Stella was a
devoted and loving wife and mother. Stella worked in the Domestic Industry and retired in 2016. She had a passion for singing, cooking, being creative, and outdoor work.
Stella accepted Christ at a young age and was an active member at The House of Prayer in Beggs. She later joined Spring Bluff and was a member until the closing of the church. Stella was well loved by all who knew her. Her hugs, infectious smile, and her great sense of humor captured the hearts of many.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband Clyde McCall, parents Albert and Ruby Demery, step father George Tate, and six brothers: Stanley Demery, Vertis Demery, Elmer Demery, Austin Demery, Raymond Demery, James Demery and one sister Alma Jean Young.
She is survived by her children: Craig (Linda) McCall of Ardmore, Clint McCall of Beggs, Cheryl McCall of Florida, Clydell (Michelle) McCall of tulsa, Chris McCall of Tulsa, Chaunell (Tasha) McCall of Ardmore, Claudell (Ebony) of Slick, Checkitha (Brandon) of Broken Arrow and Clyde III McCall of Preston, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters: Velma Taylor of North Carolina, Dorothy Gray of Tulsa, and Teresa (Robert) Smallwood of Beggs, three brothers Freeman Demery of Oakland California, Clarence Demery of Preston, and Reginald Demery of Beggs; two step brothers, Johnny, and Lionel Tate of Pheonix, Arizona.
A time to reflect will commence on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the First Baptist Church-South in Beggs, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow in the Beggs City Cemetery.
