Mr. Steven B. Tarkington, age 47 and a resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in a Tulsa, Oklahoma hospital.

Steven was born in Okmulgee on September 3, 1964 to Henry and Delores Tarkington. He was born a special child, but he had a unique personality that has left a large imprint in the hearts of his family.

Those waiting to embrace him in their heavenly arms; his father, Henry; paternal grandparents, Henry Tarkington and Willie Mae Taylor and his maternal grandfather, James Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Delores Tarkington; his twin brother, Stanley [Marquita] Tarkington, Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sisters, Audrey [Gerard] Alexander and Portia [Adrian] Butler, all of Okmulgee; his grandmother, Velma Jean Hill, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; along with other relatives and friends.

Service of Memory for Steven will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Peace. Elder Floyd Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.

You may visit Mr. Tarkington, as he slumbers in peaceful repose on Friday from 10 AM until 6 PM.
