Miss Sybil L. Taylor, after 65 years, made her transition from life to everlasting on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from Muskogee.
Her life began on September 11, 1946, a blessing from the loving union of Ozias and Florene [Houston] Taylor and named Sybil Louise Taylor.
Nicknamed "Poochie," Sybil joined New Zion Baptist Church at an early age and sang in the church choir.
She received her education in the Muskogee Public Schools, graduating from Historic Manual Training High School with the Class of 1964.
Sybil worked several jobs before she gained employment at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, where she remained to render 34 years of service.
Her loved ones preceding her his death were her mother and father, grandparents, four brothers and two nephews.
Those that wait on the Lord while cherishing her memory; two sons, Tony Taylor and William Taylor, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Brenda Bogar and Lanesia Taylor, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three brothers, Henry Taylor, Willie Taylor and Tommy Taylor, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Victoria Taylor; a caravan of nieces and nephews; her nieces and nephews that remained with her from beginning to end; her adopted sister, Carole Duncan; fellow hospital collegues, other family and many friends.
The final hour will be on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the St. Mark Baptist Church, Reverend Rodger Cutler, Pastor, will preside.
Burial will follow in the Citizens Cemetery at Fort Gibson. You may visit her as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until 6 PM.
