Obituary

Symone Rockell Kimble

On August 03, 1991, a baby girl was born to Alex Jamel Kimble III and Rosalyn (Jones) Kimble. They named her Symone Rockell Kimble.

Symone accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church in Muskogee Oklahoma and was baptized by Rev. Larry H. Smith.  Symone began her elementary education in Muskogee and later continued her education in Tulsa, Ok. Graduating from Union High School in 2009. After High School graduation, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), She continued her college education at Oklahoma State University (OSU), graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  After graduating from OSU in 2015, she continued her educational path by attending Northeastern State University (NSU), graduating with a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  While attending college, Symone worked in various daycares including Garnett Learning Center in Tulsa, Ok. La-Petite Learning Academy in Tulsa, Ok. and Edmond Ok.  As well as Happy Hands learning center for the hearing impaired.  During these opportunities, it was discovered that Symone had a special gift in working with children and was very creative in adapting to their various learning styles creating opportunity for successful learning.  She was a Speech Language Pathologist at Leisure Park Elementary in Broken Arrow, Ok and most recently was a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist at Liberty Elementary in Broken Arrow, Ok.  She found joy in teaching her students, watching them learn made her smile. She had a smile that would light any room she came into. Symone had wisdom well beyond her years and was always found encouraging others during their time of need even when she did not feel well herself.   Symone most recently began volunteering at Victory Church in Tulsa, Ok.  in the "Champions Club" Which is a ministry designed in teaching the Word of God to children with developmental disabilities.

On December 22, 2019, she finished her race and the Lord said Well Done, my good and faithful servant. For all those who knew Symone, family and friends, all describe her as a very compassionate, beautiful young lady.  She brought much joy and happiness to all that came in contact with her. She was truly loved and will be terribly missed. She was affectionately given the name "Moni Love" by her Auntie Mae.

Symone loved her family. Growing up, being close in age to two of her favorite aunt's known as "Auntie Retha" and "Auntie Breh Breh" and her "twin cousin" Jasmine Hooks. They had so much fun growing up together.  Growing up as a toddler, not wanting to say "Na-Nuh" She gave her paternal grandmother the famous name "Nee Nee", in which all relatives and neighborhood kids started calling Linda Hitchye, "Nee Nee".  She was a role model for her younger siblings and always wanted nothing but success for their lives.

Symone will be truly missed by all who loved her so dearly.
