Mrs. Tamara Rose, in her 44th year, "finished early" on Friday, December 20, 2019 in her home.
On January 22, 1975, a beautiful bouncing baby girl entered this world. They named her Tamara
J'Mille.
From infancy, Tamara brought an abundance of joy, smiles and laughter to everyone around
her. Tamara attended Calvary Christian Academy, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Okmulgee Christian Academy and
Okmulgee High School. She was the first high school graduate of Foursquare Christian School in
Okmulgee. She furthered her education in graphic design at Oklahoma State University-Technical branch, Okmulgee.
Tamara was the completely, beloved wife of Steven Rose. Their blended family consisted of
Tamara's two children, Danielle and Roderick and Steven's four children, Stephanie, Steven Jr.,
Jonathan and Caleb.
Tamara dearly loved sports. Everyone who knew her understood they dare not speak anything
negative about the "Dallas Cowboys". Also, she truly cherished traveling across the country with her
husband, Steven.
After fourteen years of glorious marriage, Tamara took her wings and leaves to cherish her
memories; her husband, Steven Rose, of the home; one daughter, Danielle C. Hawkins, Tulsa, OK; one
son: Roderick D Hawkins, Stillwater, OK; bonus children: Stephanie Rose, Los Angeles, CA; Steven Rose,
Jr., Phoenix, AZ; Jonathan Rose, Oxnard, CA; Caleb Rose, Tulsa, OK; her mother: Lonzetta Brooks –
husband Makon, Okmulgee, OK; her father: Charles Fonteno, Okmulgee, OK; one sister: Ursula C
Fonteno, Okmulgee, OK; one niece: Audriona Fonteno, Norman, OK; five Aunts: Stella Barnett – husband
Bill, Okmulgee, OK; Diane Manous, Okmulgee, OK; Beneathra Robinson, Okmulgee, OK; Vanessa
Goudeau, Tulsa, OK; and, Carmelia Wheaton, Tulsa, OK; three Uncles: Elder Howard Manous – wife
Wanda, Oklahoma City, OK; Elder Larry Manous – wife Liz, Oklahoma City, OK; and, Verdell Smith,
Bartlesville, OK; two special cousins: Lawanda and D'Anara Manous, Okmulgee, OK; and, a host of other
cousins, family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at One O'Clock at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Okmulgee. You may visit Mrs. Rose on Friday, January 3, 2020 between the hours of 1:00PM - 6:00PM.
