On Friday, June 4, 2010, our Heavenly Father saw fit to call one of his soldiers home, Tassaundra Shalain Brown.

Tassaundra was born on February 12, 1987 in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kassandra Brown Jones and Ronnie Lane. Tassaundra is preceded in death by 3 grandmothers, 2 grandfathers, 3 great-uncles, 1 uncle and 1 aunt.

Tassaundra was baptized at an early age and received the Savior in her heart at an early age. Tassaundra received her diplo9ma from Capital City High School in Sacramento, California. After school, she enlisted in the United States Army, serving her country Honorably. She enjoyed writing, playing basketball and boxing.

Tassaundra leaves to lament her passing and cherish her memory; her mother, Kassandra "Sandy" Brown-Jones and step-father, David Jones; her father, Ronnie Lane; 4 sisters, Gregneisha Brown, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brittney Lane, Paris, Texas, Kierra Perry, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ebony Green, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 step-sisters, Brandi Nash, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Tawanna Graham, New Jersey, and Benita Crawford, Oklahoma City; 5 nephews, Camariyon, TaShawn, Nelson, Dariyon, and Da'Cary; 4 nieces, Alicia, Morgan, Erin and Ke'Niyah; along with a caravan of aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends.

The Celebration will be on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at One Hour past Noon, in the Christian Life Outreach Ministry on Vissell Street, Hugo, Oklahoma. Pastor Carol Hicks, the gracious host Pastor and Pastor Aundrea Jones, Officiants.

The Christian Committal will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Arthur City, Texas. You may visit Tassaundra, as she slumbers in Muskogee at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Friday, at Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo on Friday, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
