Tela Renae Love

On March 20, 1984 a precious baby girl was born to Gwendolyn Love and John Jones in Okmulgee Oklahoma. They named her Tela Renae Love Tela grew up in Okmulgee Oklahoma. Tela was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Though she had no children of her own, Tela was a Loving and caring and devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Tela or TT. Tela was like a second mom to her Nephew Samuel Love Jr. Tela Cherished her relationship with all her nieces and nephews(26) and her great Niece (1) Tela loved to solve crossword puzzles and getting her nails done. Tela battled health issues for many years and fought every medical challenge with prayers and with the support of her family and those who loved her. 

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the age of 41 years, 11 months and 5 days, Tela fought her last fight and left the cares of this world behind in Okmulgee, OK.

Tela Renee Love is proceeded in death by her mother Gwendolyn Love, her maternal grandparents, Clara Love, and Preston Lewis Jr, her paternal grandparents, Geraldine Jones and Charles E. Jones Sr, and her Niece Samiyah Love.

Those left to celebrate her homegoing are her father John Jones and Lisa of Okmulgee, OK, siblings, Marta Jones-Orange(Byron), Moore, OK. Samuel Love Sr. (CapToria), Okmulgee, OK, DeAundray Williams(Jessica) Okmulgee, OK, a host of aunts, uncles, 26 nieces and nephew, 1 Great Niece, relatives, and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance in honor of Ms. Tela Renae Love will commence on Saturday, the 7th Day of March, 2026 at Two Hours into the Afternoon in the most holy sanctuary of the Eastside Baptist Church. Reverend Marcus Jeffrey, Pastor, will Preside.

Burial will follow in the Nuyaka Cemetery, west of Okmulgee. You may visit Tela, as she slumbers in peaceful repose on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 2PM until 6PM in the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Okmulgee.
