Obituary

On October 12, 1954 a beautiful baby boy, Telon Miller was the first born child of Telon Sr. and Elizabeth Miller. Born and raised in Beggs, Oklahoma, Telon attended Beggs schools and was well known and loved by his classmates. He believed in displaying Joy and always had a smile. Telon accepted Christ at an early age. His family instilled into him a passion to Love the Lord. Telon was raised to value life and the many things God blessed him to encounter. That very motto was the pillar of who Telon Miller was.
After graduating from Beggs High School in 1972, Telon enlisted into the Army in Fort Lenord, Missouri. To this very day he still has keep sakes from active duty in the Army. He truly cherished memories and always had a lesson learned story to tell about his involvements and participations in life.
In 1978, Telon Miller, along with his cousin Wesley Antwine, decided to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma and buy a house. Telon also joined in fellowship with Metropolitan Baptist Church, located two blocks from his new home. He served as on the Usher board, finance committee, and the security ministry. He loved his church family.
In 1979, Telon met the love of his life, Edwina Lucas; whom he loved whole heartedly. Edwina, left handed and Telon, right handed, always seemed to be the perfect fit. They gave each other a great balance and no one could take care of her the way Telon did. Telon and Edwina married and had a beautiful baby boy Telon III in 1980. Telon III only ignited their marriage to even greater heights. Together, they raised over twenty kids in their home and were known for traveling to the Miller family reunions with Little Telon and all the other children whom they cared for. Kids loved Telon, Jr. especially his nieces and nephews. He was often thought as another father figure to them all. He took pride spoiling his nieces with love and teaching his nephews how to be young men. Telon and Edwina's marriage embodied true ministry. The couple went on to have two beautiful girls during their marriage, Sherylon and Tynesha. Telon's two daughters were his precious jewels. In his eyes, they could do no wrong. When Tynesha was a baby, he would rock her to sleep daily. At one point, Tynesha forgot that she had her own room in the house because she would always fall asleep in his arms.
Telon was family man who believed in providing for his family. He believed in training a child in the way they should go; showing his daughters the true imagery of a man providing for his family. Aside from working in construction business for 37 years, Telon's true passion was his private business, furniture upholstery. He loved taking old furniture and transforming it to something beautiful and durable.
In 2013, Telon's health began to fail. He was very selfless during this time. Telon's heart was so enormous. Even in his last hours, Telon tried to embrace everyone else thoughts and wishes over his own.
On March 3, 2014 Telon Miller went home to be with his Savior. Telon joins his union in Heaven with his father, Telon Sr.
He leaves to cherish the beautiful memories of his life; his wife of 35 years, Edwina Miller, mother, Elizabeth Miller of Beggs, Ok. His children, Tynesha, Telon(Kalisha) of Tulsa, Sherylon of Dallas, TX and a special nephew Lordly Beard. His Siblings Mary Lou, Ronnie, Diane. His Grandchildren; Kameron, Kassidy, and Kristian. His Cousins, Nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends whom he loved dearly.
