Reverend Lindberg Williams was the fourth child born to Reverend Walter and Birdie Green Williams on February 3, 1930 in Boley, Oklahoma. He was born to a family of seven boys and seven girls.
Reverend Williams loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age and was a Deacon of St. John Baptist Church of Paden, Oklahoma. He later became the pastor of Tuskegee Baptist Church of Beggs, Oklahoma and was an Associate Minister of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Reverend Williams retired from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma and also the Oklahoma State Department of Corrections for boys in Boley, Oklahoma.
Reverend Williams joined in Holy Matrimony with Lillie V. Summers Williams. This union was blessed with six children. Lillie V. preceded him in death. He later joined in Matrimony with Christine Robinson Williams.
Reverend Lindberg Williams, after "Four-score and Three Years" moved his membership to "Church Triumphant" on Monday, September 30, 2013 from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was also preceded in death by his Mother, Father, three Brothers and three Sisters.
He leaves in God's care; his wife, Christine Williams, Spencer, Oklahoma; his children, Lindberg Williams, Jr., Hugo, Oklahoma, Carolyn [Ralph] Bias, Robert Williams and Linda [Mark] Clayborne, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, LaDollye [Steve] Mashore, Moore, Oklahoma, Terry [Leslie] Williams, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Julius [Mary] Washington and Steve [Satory] Robinson, Chicago, Illinois and Monique [Kambia] Hill, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his brothers, Reverend Horace Williams, Midwest City, Oklahoma, Reverend Homer Williams, Boley, Oklahoma and Walter Williams, Jr., Spencer, Oklahoma; his sisters, Eula Mae Moore and Juanita Fletcher, both of California, Bertha Dantzler and Glinda Williams, Spencer, Oklahoma; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Sacred Farewell for Reverend Williams will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Amos Temple AME Church in Boley. Reverend Teddy Lugrant will Officiate and Reverend Homer Williams will give the Eulogy.
The Christian Commital will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Boley.
