The Life of Thelma J. Glover**
God must have looked down from heaven and saw that a soul was tired and then he looked at the record and saw the work was well done. On Friday, June 29, 2007, He sent a Guardian Angel to carry the soul home.
Thelma J. Glover was born January 26, 1912 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to William and Sewilla Carter. She was preceded in death by both parents, her brother William Carter, and husband.
Thelma attended school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Later, she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she attended and graduated from Madame C. J. Walker Beauty School.
Later in life, Thelma had two beautiful children, Harry and Linda. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memories, son Harry Jones (Georgia) of Tulsa and daughter, Linda S. Spencer (Eddie) of Tulsa. Four grandchildren, Jenice K. Jones, Tulsa; Janetha A. Jones Edwards, Masa, Az; Hiram Jermond Burr and Kendra Micole Spencer, both of Tulsa, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
Thelma will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, but certainly not forgotten
The Sacred Farewell will be shared on Friday, June 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Christian Committal will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.
You may visit Mrs. Glover, as she slumbers at the funeral home in Tulsa on Thursday from 12 Noon to 7:00 P.M.
