On September 22, 1971, a baby boy was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Theodore and Rebecca Buchanan. They named him Theodore Stephen Buchanan "aka" Booger.

While attending Cherokee Elementary school he started playing football for the Browns in the Paul Young Little League. At an early age he had a passion for rabbit hunting in which his dad taught him and his cousin Tyreece. He attended West Jr High School and graduated from Hilldale High School in 1989. While attending Hilldale he played football and after he graduated he attended Southern Missouri State University in Joplin, Shaquille Missouri.

Before passing away Steven had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He loved talking about the word of God. He loved to talk to his aunts about his grandmother Cora Buchanan. On October 31, 2025, the Lord called him home, and the race was won.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Rebecca Buchanan, his grandparents, one nephew; Lester Maxwell, four uncles; Glen, James, Jesse & John Buchanan.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, who was the love of his life, Tehya Buchanan, two bonus special kids that he had loved dearly Tatin Davis, Tavion Davis and their mother Aeris Davis, three nieces; Ashley Mahome, Tulsa, Oklahoma Michelle Catching (Shaquille), Oklahoma City, Emiree Mahome, one nephew; saiden Mahome, two brothers; Jonathan (Tammy) Buchanan, Rayford Mahome, Tulsa, Oklahoma, one sister; Charolette Mahome Lewis (Chris) Wichita, Kansas, three uncles; Joseph Buchanan, Okmulgee, / Oklahoma, Dwayne Buchanan (Ruby), James Swartwood, Muksogee, Oklahoma, nine aunts; Brenda Buchanan, Charolette Buchanan, Geraldine Walker (Eddie, Josephine Buchanan, Joyce Buchanan, Naomi Buchanan of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Edna Lowe (Geraid) Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Sharon Buchanan, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Raylynn Swartwood Lee, Denver Colorado, and a host of cousins.

The Service of Memory for Theodore will commence on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Tenth Hour in The People's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors Inc., of Muskogee.

His cremation is under the auspices of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee.
