Obituary

On April 19, 1947, God blessed his parents Asa Foreman and Sedalia Brown with a bouncing baby boy. They named him Theophilus. To his friends he had a nickname Nip. Theophilus attended Douglas Elementary school in Preston, Oklahoma. The family moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he attended Historic Dunbar High School and graduated with the class of 1965. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age while attending Jerusalem Baptist Church in Preston. On July 13,
2003, he officially became a member of the Greenwood Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Gary and Pastor Debbie McIntosh (now Transformation Church Greenwood). Theophilus began his job training as a machinist at Job Corp in Kentucky. He continue to further his career working at MacDonnell Douglas, MC Centerline, Oklahoma Fixture and lastly with the Department of Human Services where he completed his years of service. In 1969 he met the love of his life Ms Lavern (Chloe) McDonald and they became one on December 17, 1971. To this union was born four beautiful children. Greg , Marlon, Michael and Joy Brown. Later was added to the family, Reginald, Brandy, Christopher, and Kory Brown. Theophilus was an advocate for children in Foster Care. He was known at the Laura Dester Center as "Mr. Theo".
Preceding him in death were his mother, Sedalia Brown; his father, Asa Foreman; Son,
Christopher Brown; his sister, Classie Terry, Lettie Foreman and Minnia Lee Ford, brothers, Colonel Wayne Foreman, Bob Asa; Aunts, Bertha Jones, Fannie Jones; Uncle, William Stokes; Nephew, Steven Brown. Theophilus was a mild mannered devoted husband and father and will deeply be missed by all.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 42 years, Chloe Brown of Tulsa; his children, Greg Brown (Amy); Marlon Brown (Monya); Michael Brown (Angela); Joy Brown, Reginald Brown, Brandy Brown , and Kori Brown all of Tulsa. Sisters Lillie Brown (Okmulgee); Dovey Fox (Tulsa); Viola Murray (Ronnie) of Tulsa; Vertula Rentie (Freddie) of Tulsa; Marsell Brown (Cecil) of Collinsville; Elizabeth Surratt of Tulsa; his brothers Douglas Brown of Tulsa (Loyce); Richard Foreman of Tulsa; Marvin Ellis (Detra) of Okmulgee; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins Delores
Richards, Inez Dickens( Russell) and Joel Stokes, along with many family and friends.
The home going celebration for Mr. Theophilus Brown will be Saturday August 23, 2014 at 10AM at Transformation Church in Tulsa.

Visitation will be Friday from 10AM until 6PM in Tulsa with a wake immediately following.
