Obituary

Timothy Daryl Miller Obituary Timothy Daryl Miller, age 68, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday morning, August 24, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by loved ones.

Timothy was born on September 1, 1956, in Emmet, Arkansas, to Junis [Muldrow] Miller and Samuel Miller, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the seventh child of thirteen surviving siblings, in addition to two siblings who passed away during childhood. Timothy was raised in the Green Hill community of Blevins, Arkansas, and attended Green Hill AME Church.

In 1974, he graduated from Blevins High School. Timothy began his distinguished United States Air Force career on October 27, 1977, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He dedicated 21 years as a Security Police Officer, serving with honor and distinction before retiring on October 31, 1998, at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma at the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7). Throughout his service, he earned numerous medals and ribbons in recognition of his commitment and professionalism. Following his military retirement, he continued his service to others by working at the Oklahoma State Disability Law Firm for three years. He also achieved his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Park University in Parkville, Missouri, in 1999, exemplifying his lifelong commitment to personal growth and education.

On December 27, 1997, Timothy married his beloved wife Veronica [Walston] Miller. Together, they raised two children and two grandchildren. Timothy's commitment to his faith was unwavering. For over 30 years, he was a proud member of Saint Luke Baptist Church, serving faithfully as a Deacon for 23 years. He also served as the financial secretary for many years. His devotion to his church community was a guiding force throughout his life.

Timothy continued to serve his community by delivering mobile meals to the elderly and disabled for over 30 years. Beyond his professional and church responsibilities, Timothy embraced life with energy and curiosity. Known lovingly as one of the "family historians," Timothy had a passion for exploring and preserving his family's roots. He loved diving into family history, tracing generations past, and connecting the dots across time and geography. He especially enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and was often the first to reach out to newly discovered relatives, welcoming them with warmth and enthusiasm. Timothy's passion for helping others was evident in his generous mentorship, particularly in financial guidance and budgeting. Many sought his wisdom, relying on his practical advice and kindness. He was always generous with his time and insight. He also had a deep appreciation for art and culture—collecting pieces from around the world as well as cherished works created by family members. Additionally, music, especially traditional gospel hymns and reggae, brought joy to his home and to those around him. He was also known for his natural talent in carpentry, always building or repairing with care and precision. Above all, Timothy will be remembered for his warm sense of humor, his deep love for family, and his unwavering dedication to uplifting those around him.

Timothy is preceded in death by his siblings: Vera [Miller] Williams, Therdrick Miller, Patsy Pennington, Larry Miller, Samuel Wendell Miller, and James Wayman Miller.
