On January 24, 1944 a beautiful baby girl was born to Lucian and Herlene Reed in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They named her Tollie.

Tollie was a joy to be around.
Tollie attended high school at Manual Training before moving to Omaha, Nebraska in 1960, where she graduated from Tech High in 1961.


Tollie was united in marriage to Jimmy Starks in June of 1962, and in that union was blessed with two children.


She enjoyed working for many years, in various places where she had been employed with Western Electric, bookkeeping, and a home health provider. She enjoyed learning about medical information. She also had a love for traveling, where she traveled and lived various places and ended her stay in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 24, 2010 when God called her home.

Tollie valued her friends and family. Tollie is preceded in death by her parents Lucian and Herlene Reed and her sister Mary Louis. She leaves to cherish her memories; to her two children, Sherry Starks, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Jimie Starks, Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, Ramica and Jimie Starks, Las Vegas, Nevada; four sisters, two brother, and three brother-laws, Nola and Reverend Edgar Pride Jr., Omaha, Nebraska, Kathryn, and Ishmael Coleman, Omaha, Nebraska; Pleasant Reed, Omaha, Nebraska; Joyce an Hermon Blackmon, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Keith Reed, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Alice Berry, Tulsa, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, Marian Reed, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Arlene Nero, Omaha, Nebraska, Henry, and Gladys Broadway, Omaha, Nebraska; along with caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends are welcome to join the family over the Memorial Day Holiday on Sunday, with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM and the family will be present at the Wake, from 4:00 P.M. to 6 P.M., at the Funeral Home in Muskogee.

Burial will be on Tuesday at 12 Noon in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
