On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, from Tulsa, OK, Angels reached for the hands of Tommie Jean Clark Jones.

Tommie a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1957, went on to earn a Bachelors Degree from Tennessee State University and a Masters Degree from University of Cincinnati.

Mrs Clark Jones a retired educator of Dayton, OH public schools and Tulsa, OK public schools.

She also served many years in Community Relations Service of the U.S. Department of Justice.

Community involvement: former member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church (Dayton, Ohio), Planned Parenthood, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Links, Incorporated.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Fleming Jones; parents, Tommie Lee and Archie Jane (Thompson) Clark; three siblings, Tommie, Jr., Vivian and Arcille Clark. Survived by her children, Natalie (Tulsa, Oklahoma), Kimberly (New Albany, Ohio) and Gail (Woodbridge, Virginia); grandsons, Anthony (Woodbridge, Virginia) and Kyle (Tulsa, Oklahoma).

A Memorial Service to honor the life lived, and precious memory of Tommie Jean Clark Jones will be Monday November 12, 2012 at 11AM at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Tulsa.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will conduct The Ivy Beyond The Wall Ceremony in her honor at 10AM on Monday at Metropolitan Baptist Church prior to the Memorial Service.
