Tommy Lee McKinney
Tommy Lee McKinney was born September 3, 1959, in Clayton, Missouri to Tommy L. Spraggins and Barbara May McKinney. Tommy moved to Tulsa with his family in 1969, where he lived most of his childhood and later moved to Woodward, Oklahoma until his untimely death. Tommy met Janet Marie Waterman and to this union one child was born; Tommy Lee McKinney Jr. "T.J.".
Tommy at 49 yrs. old, made his final transition Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Tommy was very active at the Grace Living Center, where he loved singing with the church choir and did volunteer work on Sunday mornings. Tommy loved music and as such earned the name "Music Man". He was a disc jockey for the local radio station in Woodward.
Tommy's father and both grandparents preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Tommy Lee "T.J." McKinney Jr., of the home; his mother Barbara McKinney Burns of Tulsa; seven sisters, Lawanda Richardson (Paul), Celeste Wilkins (Jimmy), Merna Sykes (David) Pamela Summers, Grace Jordan (Vic), Lisa Jones, Anita McNutt (Marvin), three brothers; Tommy Spraggins , Richard McKinney (Marquette), Dennis McKinney. Uncle's and Aunt's and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends, and a very special friend, Dianna Hyde.
Services will be Saturday January 24, 2009 at 11AM inside the All Faiths Chapel.
