Mr. Tony Jefferson, in his 24th season, surrendered his soul on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

On August 27, 1982, a little boy was born to Ruthie M. Jefferson and Gerard Johnson. The gave him the name of Tony.
Knicknamed "Ton Loc", Tony lived in Okmulgee all of his life and attended school there. He graduated from Okmulgee Senior High School with the Class of 2000. As a teenager, Tony was very popular and had many friends. He enjoyed playing and watching football and basketball. Although he enjoyed those sports, his real passion was the RODEO! He loved to steer dogg and calf rope. If there was a rodeo going on, you could find "Ton Loc" there.
April 1, 2005 was the happiest day in Tony's life; he became a father to a bouncing, baby boy, Dairyon. When Dairyon was about 8 months old, Tony decided to share his love of horses with his son. Together, they picked out Charlie. Even though Dairyon is only 2 years old, he enjoyed helping his dad feed and water Charlie everyday. Dairyon will keep Tony alive through him.
On June 6, 2007, Tony was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers, Pearlie Mae Jefferson and Lucille Johnson, and his father, Gerard Johnson, Sr.
He leaves with broken hearts; his son, Dairyon Jefferson; his loving mother, Ruthie M. Jefferson; his grandfather, Leo Johnson; his brothers, Derek Cross, Cameron Johnson and Gerard Johnson, Jr.; his sisters, Alexisa Johnson, Josie Richardson and Sherry Johnson; his uncles and aunts, Henry and Freddie Mae Stokely, Raylie Jefferson, Fee Jefferson, Dale Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Chauncey Johnson and Myron Johnson, Wanda and Ronald Collins, Barbara Jefferson, Geneva Jefferson, Shirley and Lendon Phillips, Ardella Morgan, Donna and Norman Simpson, Carol and Carlos Arriaga, Beverly and Tracy Anderson and Linda Montgomery; along with a special friend, Stephanie Rice, other friends and a caravan of relatives who will miss his presence in their lives.
Friends may visit Tony, as he slumbers in the Chapel of Peace on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 7 PM in Okmulgee.
