Ms. Trina L. Strickland, in her 56th year, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 from her home in Muskogee.

Trina Lavonne Strickland was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on November 8, 1962, the beautiful daughter of Frankie D. and Florence Lavone [Swafford] Allison.

Trina was a lifelong resident of Muskogee, where she attended public schools. She loved a variety of music, loved to dance, was a free spirit and had an outspoken personality. She could be found at the casino, which was one of her favorite places to be.

After becoming a teenaged mom, she overcame many obstacles to provide for her children throughout her life. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her granddaughters. She loved to draw, color and write in her journal.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Gregory Strickland and his wife, Amy, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her daughter, Tashawna Lavonne Allison, of Wagoner, Oklahoma; her half brother, Darrell and her half sister, DeAnna; and her three grandchildren, Mariah Myers, Aaliyah Strickland and Fagon Hall.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee.  Burial will follow in the Agnew Cemetery, near Keefeton, Oklahoma.
