Obituary

Tyrone Pierce, beloved husband, father, coach, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 48. Known for his infectious laugh, generous spirit, and deep love for life, Tyrone left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Affectionately known as "Big Pie" and "Pitro," Tyrone's larger-than-life personality reflected his fun- loving nature and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy to any room, whether with a smile, a joke, or simply his uplifting presence.

Born on August 20, 1976, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Tyrone accepted Christ at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church and carried his faith with him throughout his life—quietly, humbly, and with strength. His life was guided by that faith, along with his love for his family and his sense of humor.

Tyrone attended Muskogee High School, where he played football and wrestled, excelling as both an athlete and a teammate. He briefly attended Langston University on a football scholarship before entering the workforce, later spending several years with Georgia Pacific.

In 2005, Tyrone met the love of his life, Erica. Their bond grew over the years, and they were married in September 2015. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. Tyrone was a devoted husband and the proud father of two children, T'Khia and Tyson, who were the light of his life. His role as a father brought him immeasurable joy, and he took pride in every moment—big or small—spent with his children.

He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: coaching youth flag football, spending time outdoors, playing dominoes, fishing, and grilling on weekends. And when fall rolled around, Saturdays were sacred—he was a passionate OU football fan who never missed a game, cheering on his Sooners.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Alexander, Sr.; his brother, Stanley Alexander, Jr.; his sister, Kosha Clayton; his maternal grandfather, Billy Pierce, Sr.; paternal grandmother Doretha Alexander; and uncles, Michael Pierce, Whitney Pierce, and Billy Pierce, Jr.

Mr. Tyrone Pierce, in his 48th season of life, quietly transitioned to Eternal Rest on Sunday evening, June 22, 2025 in Moore, Oklahoma.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who knew him. Those left to honor and celebrate his memory include his beloved wife, Erica; his children, T'Khia and Tyson; his devoted mother, Toni Pierce; his dear grandmother Jo Ann Carter: his siblings, Justin Pierce (Courtney), Jazz Pierce, Catrina Constatine, Tameka Alexander Mahone, Aubrey Pride, and Nakia Pride; and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other loved ones who will miss him dearly. He also leaves to lament his passing, special brothers, Trecol Myers, Brian Wilkerson, Cleandrae Edwards, and Triirmain Bates.

Though Tyrone is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on. His love, his laughter, and his light will
continue to echo in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
