HisStory

On Valentine's Day, 1926, a precious bundle of joy was born to James Henry Patton and Beaulah White in Depew, Oklahoma. Their bunle of joy was a bouncing baby boy, they fittingly named, Valentine. The 10th of 11 children born to the union, Valentine received his education from Depew Schools and Spring Creek Schools. He later enlisted in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946, serving in World War II. After his discharge from the Army, he found employment at the Coca Cola Plant for 27 years, and later retired from Glenn Cliff Dairy.

In his personal life, Valentine loved helping others, especially children, and disadvantaged families. He also enjoyed going fishing, cooking, and telling jokes, always making people laugh. He loved all animals, especially his dogs.

On December 17, 2011, the Lord saw fit to send his angels to escort him to his Heavenly Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: one daughter, Katherine "Kat" Jackson, one son, Ray "BoBo" Charles, one granddaughter Pamela "Chell", nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Tina, Helen, and Ethel, one brother, Clifford, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will miss him very much.

Services for Mr. Valentine Patton will be Thursday December 22, 2011 at 11AM inside our All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2PM-7PM.
