Vanessa Ann Grant, in her 49th year,surrendered her soul to Jesus on Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2005 from St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Better known to family and friends as "Nessa", Ms. Grant was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on January 11, 1956, the daughter of Odies Grant, Sr., and Lois Marie [Johnson]Grant.

She grew up in Okmulgee and attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where she graduated from Okmulgee Senior High School with the Class of 1974. Ms. Grant was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She leaves to lament her passing; a brother, Jerry Grant & wife Joyce, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Larzetta Grant, Carolyn Grant and Gwendolyn Grant, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and many friends.

The final farewell will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, 2005 @ 11:00 A.M. in the Macedonia Baptist Church, corner of Lafayette and Sioux streets. Reverend Judson Fields, the Pastor, will officiate. The Christian Committal will follow in Northwest Cemetery in Okmulgee.

Her Classmates will serve as Casket Bearers.
