While yet at a young and impressionable age, she dedicated her life to the Lord and later became a faithful member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Muskogee, under the Pastoral leadership of Vanzelen G. Brown, Sr., until her health prevented her from attending. Prior to her illness, she boldly stated "GSMBC" is my Church and Reverend Brown in my Pastor!."

Mrs. Brown was a devoted homemaker, who sacrificed for and loved her family passionately and was often described as a virtuous woman. Proverbs 31; A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She sets about her work vigorously, her arms are strong for her tasks. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Several times over the past few weeks and days before she went to be with the Lord, she stated that she was "ready to go home." She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lena; her husband, Lonnie C. Brown, Sr., a son, Lieutenant Brown, Sr., a daughter, Bobbie S.
