Mrs. Velma Mae [Glass] Powell, after nine decades and four years, surrendered to the will of the Lord on Tuesday evening, March 13, 2007 from Oklahoma City.

Born in Vian, Oklahoma on November 14, 1912, she was the daughter of Austin and Eva Dolly [Crapo] Glass.

Mrs. Powell was a retired educator, having taught elementary education for the Muskogee public school system.

The final tribute will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the 18th and Denison Church of Christ. Brother Eric Rodgers, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roselawn cemetery at Vian, Oklahoma.
