Mrs. Venita Bentley, age 64 and a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Haskell, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Tulsa.

On September 16, 1946 Robert King, Sr. and Charity Morton King was delivered a precious bundle of joy in Los Angeles, California. Her name: Venita Ann. Venita attended public school in Los Angeles. Upon her graduation she attended Mills College, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in English. In June 2005 she went back to attend Oklahoma Health Academy, obtaining a license in Massage Therapy. This past August, she had begun classes on working towards her Master's Degree.
In 1976 she met and married Wade H. Bentley. To this union, two sons were born: Wade H. Bentley, and Nathan J. Bentley. Venita also mothered Valgene C. Christel and Joseph A. Christel. Venita worked for Nirvana Body and Soul Healing Therapies and Wellness as a Massage Therapist and Reiki Energy Healer. She was the president of North Tulsa Wall Street II, and was a member of the Drum Fest Committee and a member of the Gold Star Referral Club. She was an inspiration to many people. She not only touched the lives of her family, she touched the lives of many. She enjoyed helping those around her and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Bentley's husband, parents, and one brother preceded her in death. Remaining to cherish her precious memories waiting on the Lord: her brother Robert King, Jr., her sisters: Hope Bostick and Glenda Savage, all of California, her precious children: Wade H. Bentley III, Nathan Bentley, Valgene C. Christel, and Joseph A. Christel, two daughters-in law: Shonte Bentley and Sommer L. Bentley, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sixteen grandchildren: Pennelipe Ryie Bentley, Wade H. Bentley IV, Nikita D. Bentley, Micah A. Bentley, De'Kayla S. Bentley, Cole B.T. Bentley, Kailoni M. Bentley, Kadence E. Bentley, Tanesha T. Christel, Daniel E. Christel, Valgene C. Christel III, James A. Christel, Donquaveon Q. Christel, Karvaughn A. Boyd, Donovan J. Christel, Terrance J. Christel, and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Her Memorial Service will be Tuesday November 2, 2010 inside our Faiths Chapel in Tulsa.
