Obituary

It all began on March 30, 1923 in Corsicana, Texas, when Henry and Mary [Carter] Ware celebrated the birth of a new son, a baby boy that they named Vernon Odell Ware.

Vernon grew up with his two sisters and a step-brother in Corsicana. He attended school there and came to know the Lord at an early age. While yet young, he moved to Weleetka, Oklahoma with his mother to live before enlisting in the United States Army.

He met his beloved wife, Rosie before he left for the service. They fell in love and their union produced eleven children. Vernon served his Country Honorably during World War II. After his tour of duty, he returned home and attended Oklahoma State Technical School for a short while.

He then joined a construction union in Tulsa, AFL-CIO Teamsters and began to provide for his family through his labor in the Construction industry. He helped to build several buildings in Tulsa, including Saint Francis Hospital.

Mr. Ware was a good husband and father to his family. He retired from Construction at the age of 62. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, watching baseball on TV and also TBN, particulary the preaching. His favorites were Bishop T. D. Jakes and John Hagee. Vernon also enjoyed the times when his buddies that he worked with would stop by to visit. They are all gone now and Vernon joins them in eternity.

The final chapter ended on Sunday evening, March 26, 2006 around 8:00 P.M. at his home in Okmulgee. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, his step-brother, his wife, Rosie and his oldest son, Curtis.

His legacy continues through his loving family left behind; Theodis [Wyntress] Ware, Fort Worth, Texas, Eddie [Lynn] Ware, Atlanta, Georgia, Vernon [Beth] Ware, Jr., Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Charles [Deanna] Ware, Choctaw, Oklahoma, Phillip [Twana] Ware, Hugo, Oklahoma, Betty Barker, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vernetta Ware, Mary [James] Ware, Carolyn Ware and Arnette [Carl] Penn, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; a caravan of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Clifford Tamplin, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; other relatives and friends.
