IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Viola Lynn
Thompson
September 22, 1945 – January 30, 2023
On September 22, 1945, a precious child was born to Maggie (Adams) and Nathaniel Leffall, and they named her Viola Lynn. Viola was the youngest of 7 children born to this loving union. Viola professed a hope in Jesus Christ, and united with Old Agency Baptist Church at a very young age. Viola attended Muskogee Public Schools, Manual Training High School and Northeastern State University.
On May, 26, 1965, Viola married Alfred Thompson and this union was blessed with a son named Alan Thompson. Viola was employed by Coburn Optical and the City of Porter until her retirement. You could often find her enjoying fishing, but most certainly her loving and caring ways always shined.
This loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Cousin and Friend entered into Glory on January 30, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, Raymond Leffall and Nathaniel Leffall.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son Alan (Lisa) Thompson of Muskogee, Ok; two brothers, Cleveland Leffall of Muskogee, OK and Alvin Leffall of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, Shantrell Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Jaleel McNeil, Altasia Thompson, Chanelle Thompson, Amaria Thompson, Kayla Swanson, Alaya Thompson and Taylor Smith; ten great- grandchildren, Cahnya Jackson, SKyi Tyner, Tyson Tyner II, Emma Tyner, Kyson Tyner, Harper Tyner, Drake Jordan, Kayli Quarles, Zhamir McGowan, Ariyah McCollough and many niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Hour of Reflection to remember Ms. Thompson will commence on Friday morning, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Porter, Oklahoma. Reverend Steven Nunley is the gracious host Pastor and Pastor Blake Parker will deliver the Eulogy.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
You may visit Ms. Thompson, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee on Thursday, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
