Mr. Wallace "Bootsie" Bruner, age 73 and a resident of Muskogee, formerly of Haskell, Oklahoma, surrendered his soul on Thursday morning, October 22, 2009 from Solara Hospital in Muskogee.
Mr. Bruner was born in Haskell, the son of Ned Bruner and Minnie Rushing.
He worked as a laborer and was better known by most of his family and friends as "Bootsie."
He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Darcell, Crissy and Kim, all of Muskogee; his sons, Wallace Jr., and Troy, of Muskogee and Patrick, Oklahoma City, OK; his step-daughters, Charleszetter Harris, Haskell, OK and Darlene Jackson, Baltimore, MD; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his special buddy, Cameron Oliver; a special nephew, Cleophus "Skeet" Bruner; his life-long friend, Bobbie Hamm, Hutchinson, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Evelyn [Raymond] Wheat, and Flo [K.C.} Burks; Brothers-in-law, Sam, Cleveland and Calvin Freeman; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The final hour will be on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Assembly of God of Haskell. Burial will follow in Phyllis Cemetery at Haskell, Oklahoma.
