Obituary

Mr. Wallace N. Warrior, age 56 and a resident of Checotah, Oklahoma, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting on Saturday evening, September 24, 2011 from his home in Checotah.

John 14, 1-4

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me.

In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that were I am there he may be also.


Wallace Nick Warrior Sr. was born March 14, 1955, in Muskogee Oklahoma to Ellis James & Johnnie Bell McNac Warrior. Wallace was the second of four children, raised in the Galilee area of McIntosh County attending the Checotah Area Public Schools after graduating and receiving his diploma he continued his education at Central State University. In 1975 Wallace joined the United States Army, upon completion of his service, he returned to Oklahoma, where he began his civilian career, with the State of Oklahoma as a Correctional Officer, retiring after 25 full years of service.

Wallace is the father of two children, daughter Constance V. Dan-Mike and a son Wallace Nick Warrior Jr. whom was born to the marriage of Wallace and Wanda English.

Wallace was preceded in death by his father Ellis J. Warrior and oldest sister Rose Mary Warrior. He is survived by those that will mourn his passing, mother Johnnie Bell McNac Warrior, brother Maurice Warrior, sister Sharon Kay Warrior, daughter Constance.Dan-Mike, son Wallace N. Warrior Jr. and a host of many including nephews, nieces, cousins , aunts, uncles, grandchildren and friends. And a very special friend Carol Pelie.

The final hour for Mr. Warrior will be on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Mount Olive Star Baptist Church, west of Checotah. The Pastor, Reverend Samuel Cunningham will officiate. Burial will follow in the Warrior Cemetery.
