It all began in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma on August 4, 1942, when Edgar McNac, Sr., and Agnes V. Sallis welcomed their tenth of thirteen children into this world. He was named Wardell McNac.
Wardell grew up in the Four Mile community, where he attended school and also attended the Four Mile Branch Baptist Church with his family.
After reaching adulthood, he worked for the O. G. & E. Muskogee Power Plant as an equipment manger before his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed life and also cherished spending time with his family. He had many friends during his lifetime and formed many friendships down through the years. He will be missed by those who loved him.
After 74 years with us, Wardell McNac crossed from Earth to Glory on Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 2016 from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar McNac, Sr., and Agnes Sallis McNac; his siblings, Alene Felts, Ethel Henderson, Berneice Lurks, Lloyd McNac, Herman McNac, Havana Vann and Leroy McNac, Sr.
Mr. McNac leaves in God's care; his children, Jeremy Nolen, Tammy Nolen, both of Wichita, Kansas, Latara, Mattie and Keyonnia Nolen, all of Muskogee, and Shelly [Harold] Achong, Tulsa, Oklahoma; his siblings, Edgar [Mozelle] McNac, Jr., Sarah Brown, and Rosie May, all of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, and Tommy [Delores] McNac, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Tationa, Tekeyla, and Tashanti Nolen, Kanzington Nolen, Wichita, Kansas, Jacento Jr. ['lil man], Mary Anna [Pretty Eyes/Baby Girl] Nolen, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Lyric D. Nolen, Oklahoma City, Brittany Brown McDonald, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kortney Harris, Tulsa, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Hope [Pretty Pretty] McDonald and Kaelee Ashley, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Special friends, Terry Nolen, Sandra Bates and Johnny Roberson; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The Final Hour with Mr. McNac will commence on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Vanzelen G. Brown, Sr., is the gracious host pastor and Reverend Terry Kirk, Pastor of Four Mile Branch Cemetery, Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Four Mile Branch Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
