Obituary

Willie Charles (W.C.) Walker was born on May 18, 1943, in Porter, OK. He was the fourth born of seven siblings.
He was born to the union of the late Ellis Walker, Sr., and Carrie Hyche-Walker. He was known to family and friends as Doug, Boo, or W.C.

W.C. attended Manual Training High School, where he graduated from the Class of 1963.

W.C. then went on to be a Bus Driver for Muskogee public schools. He also was employed at Muskogee Iron Works, until they moved the company to Paris, where he traveled to help get the company started. After his return he was employed at Georgia Pacific until he retired. He united with St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age. He later joined Mt. Pleasant Church in Porter, OK, under the leadership of Reverend Anthony Gaines. He served on the Deacon Board and was a Sunday school teacher and youth mentor.

In 1967, he met and married Tejuana Jones, and to this union a baby girl was born. They named her Anginea. This union was eventually dissolved.

In 1963, he met and married Sandi Kai Porter, and to this union two children were born: a son named Doug, and a daughter named LaQuanda. This union was also dissolved.

On March 5, 1988, W.C. met his wife and life partner Carol Sue.

Mr. W.C. Walker, Sr., in his 78th season of life, peacefully slipped into Life Everlasting to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, March 26, 2022 in Porter, OK.

Preceding him in death were: his parents, Ellis Walker, Sr., and Carrie Walker, brother, T.J., and sisters, Carletha, Lillie Mae, and Betty.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 34 years, Carol Walker; son, Doug (Rebecca) of St. Louis, MO; daughters, Anginea Walker of Muskogee, LaQuanda Cici (L.J.) Walker-Rickmon of St. Louis, MO, Deloris and Anita Johnson, and Loretta Owens of Muskogee; brothers, Alex Walker of Muskogee, OK, Ellis, Jr., (Loretta) of Columbus, OH, Dave (Debra) Walker of Anniston, Al; adoptive brother, Charles Mason of Muskogee, OK; sister-in- law, Sharon Walker of Muskogee, OK; 21 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The Final Hour for Mr. Walker will commence on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of Christ Kingdom Builders Ministry in Muskogee, where Apostle Ron Venters is the Gracious Host and Dr. Carrie Coulter-White will render the Eulogy.

You may visit Mr. Walker, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Burial will immediately follow the services in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
