Obituary

On November 3, 1962 a baby boy was born to Wendell & Joyce Baird. They named him Wendell Deneer Baird. Wendell attended Manchester Elementary School, Bret Hart Middle School, and Washington High School in Los Angeles, California. He accepted Christ and was baptized at New Pleasant Baptist Church in Los Angeles under the direction of Rev. Melvin Hill. Wendell later returned to Oklahoma where he lived until his passing.

Throughout his life, he touched many lives. Wendell especially loved working with his hands and the country living experiences he shared with his grandparents. Wendell had a big heart and was always willing to help. To him, everyone was his friend.

Wendell was preceded in death by his father Wendell Baird, paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Baird, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hill, Sr., and uncles Alfred Hill and Winston Hill.

His memory will remain in the hearts of his loving family, two sons: Wendell and Kendall, Bartlesville, OK., two daughters: Latrice (Alvin) Grand Prairie, TX., and Tameka Baird, Bartlesville, OK., his loving mother, Joyce Baird, Los Angeles, CA., two sisters: LaShelle (Charles), Los Angeles, CA., Wendy (Miguel), Orange County, CA., four grandchildren: Aidean, Adrianna, Javaughn, and Michael, four nephews: Royce, Ryan, Jeremiah, and Miguel, three nieces: Sandra, Savannah, and Alliyah, five uncles, five aunts, a devoted companion, Cheryl, and a host of cousins and friends.

Services for Mr. Wendell Deneer Baird will be Monday August 12, 2013 at 11AM inside Biglow's Chapel of Peace in Okmulgee.

Friends may visit Mr. Baird on Sunday from 2PM until 4PM in Tulsa.
