Whitney Winford Pierce, affectionately known as "Pooh" by his family, was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on October 3, 1981. He grew up in Muskogee and attended Muskogee Public Schools.
Whitney loved animals, and was skillful in training and breeding boxers. He created his own company known as Pierce Boxers, with the slogan "Home of Quality Boxers." He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, as well as teaching his son how to hunt and fish. He was known as being the life of the party and loved to make others laugh.
In his 33rd year, Whitney Winford Pierce transitioned from life to everlasting. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy W. Pierce, Sr., his brother, Michael J. Pierce and his step-sister, Helen Carter.
He leaves to lament his death: his son, Trenton Pierce, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his mother and step-father, JoAnn and Willie Carter, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his siblings, John Walker, Muskogee, Cathy Walker, Oklahoma City, Toni Pierce, Billy Pierce, Jr., Nathan Pierce, Sr., Angela Skates [Franklin] and Darlene Pierce, all of Muskogee, Josette Pierce, Wagoner, Oklahoma, Olivia Pritchet [Trevorase], Muskogee, Frankie Carter, Las Vegas, Nevada, Clarence Carter and Bobby Carter [Diane], all of Muskogee; along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved his company as well as other family and friends.
The Service of Memory for Mr. Pierce will be on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Remembrance of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
