A bundle of joy was delivered to John Cotton and Vertie Bowie Cotton on April 1, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was a baby boy. They named him William. William accepted Christ at an early age and joined Garden Oaks Church of Christ. He attended Oklahoma City Public Schools and graduated from Douglas High School. Upon graduation, he moved to various states, and returned to Oklahoma settling in Tulsa. There he met and married Carolyn Brown. This loving union produced two children, DeAngela, and William Jr. Always happy and cheerful, Mr. Cotton was known for making jokes and finding humor in everything. He loved his family, and adored his grandchildren always being there for them. He loved all, and never hesitated to help anyone. He will truly be missed.
Mr. William Cotton was called home February 2, 2009 in Tulsa. His parents, one sister and brother, and grandmother preceded him in death.
