Obituary

On August 6, 1948 a son William "Lloyd" Roberts was born to Dewitt and Clydia Mae Roberts of Alsuma, Oklahoma. He was the fifth child of nine siblings, both parents and four Brothers: Leon Grant, Donald Smith David Smith, and Dewitt Roberts Jr and Two Sisters: Claudette Roberts Broussard and Linda Roberts preceded him in death.

On Saturday morning October 23, 2010 our Lord and Savior decided to join William "Lloyd" Roberts to his eternal membership in heaven. Lloyd attended Union public schools in Alsuma, Oklahoma and later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma after receiving an honorable discharge as a Vietnam era Veteran from the U.S. Army. Where, Lloyd and Darnett L. Mack met and were united in marriage on July 7, 1972 to this union two children were born Corry and Tanara Roberts. Lloyd was employed by Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO) here in Tulsa, for thirty four years before his retirement 2006 due to poor health.

Every once in awhile in life a MAN comes alone where you can't put down on paper the full measure of what that man meant to others. Nevertheless, this man William Lloyd Roberts left behind a legacy of being "A man's, man's in every sense of the word," he was and example to his Brother-In-Laws and Cousins and whomever he was associated. " By walking the walk and NOT just talking the talk," he displayed a tremendous work ethic and had mature skills beyond his years in dealing with family matters. Lloyd was second to none as an responsible father and left an example for others to follow in his family. He also, exemplify what a man, father and husband should be and set the bar high in life. He touched your heart not by what he said but whether, by his actions whenever, you needed some advise or some financial help in the family he had away of leaving you with your dignity, a man of simplicity "Saying what he meant and meaning what he said."

Family members remaining to cherish his memories or legacy: His wife: Darnett L. Roberts, Two children: Corry Roberts, Tanara L. Roberts. Grand children: Alicia N. Johnson, Shiloh Roberts, Deidre L. Roberts, Deja L. Roberts, Korie L. Roberts and Two sisters: Patricia Roberts and Margaret Roberts Radliff. In-Laws: Gregory & Brenda Mack, James W. Mack, Carl & Sharon Mack, Keith Mack, Yolanda Mack Beckett, Audrey Mack, and a host of Cousin, Nieces and Nephews.
