Mr. Willie Lee Bryant, Sr., left this life from Houston, Texas while convalescing in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Mr. Bryant was born in Bryan, Texas but spent most of his life in Oklahoma. He attended schools in Oklahoma City and later Beggs, Oklahoma, completing his education at Wheatley School in Beggs.
He then served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1947 to 1951 and then re-enlisting in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1954.
He provided for his family from his labor while operating his own business, Bryant & Sons Demolition Service for many years.
He was also a 33@ Mason and will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves his wife, Jeanie Bryant, of the home in Houston, Texas; his sons, Willie Bryant, Jr., Fairfield, California and Roy Bryant, Suisun, California; his daughters, Topaz Stallings & husband Michael, Wichita, Kansas, Janice Smith, Fairfield, California and Jasmine Bryant, Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service for Mr. Bryant is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Peace at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee. Mr. Bryant was cremated and his cremains will be in the care of his daughter, Topaz.
