Obituary

Willie Robert Lee was born on December 7, 1934 to Robert Edwin Lee and Blanche [Watson] Lee. He was the oldest of 4 children. At an impressionable age, he professed a hope in Christ and was baptized.

He received his education in Muskogee Public Schools, including Dunbar Elementary, and Manual Training High School. He later joined the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge.

He met and subsequently married Hazel Geneva Pitts. There were 7 children born to this union. Willie was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A long time retiree, he was employed in earlier years at Superior Mattress Company, the Compress and also the City of Muskogee. He was a men who never met a stranger.

Early Sunday morning, August 24, 2009, Willie quietly slipped from time to eternity. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Albert Robert Lee and his sister, Mattie Roberta.

Those left to lament his death; his daughters, Sandra [Jimmie] Johnson, Brenda Vann, Juliette Lee and Angela Walker; his sons, Willie Louis [Geraldine] Lee, Kevin Lee and John [Jackie] Walker; his sister, Anne LeFlore; his aunt, Bernice Washington; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildrne, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Memorial Tribute will be on Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Central Missionary Baptist Church, 14th & Georgetown. Reverend Ray K. Gaines, Pastor, will officiate. You may visit Mr. Lee, as he slumbers at the funeral home on Thursday, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.
