Willie Floyd Robinson passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 2, 2013.

He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on March 9, 1936 to David Robinson (deceased) and Lucille Johnson Robinson (deceased).
After graduating from Dunbar High School, Willie enlisted in the United States Air Force.

While stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he met and married Beatrice Lewis. Their union produced four children. When this marriage ended in divorce, he met and married Yukiko Ogawa – their union produced one child.

Willie retired from the Air Force after honorably serving his country for 20 years. He went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree from Oscar Rose Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central State University. After 15 years of service with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Probation, and Parole, he became a man of leisure and travel, finding time to visit with family and friends all over the country.

Willie is survived by five children: Cheryl Robinson Sellers (spouse-Dometrice); Brian Robinson; Monique Robinson-Denhart (spouse-Stephen); Yvette Robinson-Walton (spouse-Robert); and Angela Robinson-Gilbert(spouse-Eric); three grandsons, Anthony Robinson (spouse-Tara); Andre Murrah, and Tyler Gilbert; one great grandson, Liam Murrah; and a brother, Ed Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Robinson. He is also survived by "play brother," Cousin Joseph Robinson, and numerous beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

The Final Salute will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.

You may visit Mr. Robinson on Monday from 12 Noon until 6 PM at the funeral home. The Casket will not be opened on Tuesday.
