Mrs. Willie Ruth Collins, in her 69th year, left her husband, family and church, First United Holiness Church for "Church Triumphant" from her home in Okmulgee.
Mrs. Collins was born in Texas on July 23, 1946 and moved to Okmulgee from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Her compassionate demeanor was exemplified through her works as a Nurse Aid at Hillcrest Medical Center.
She leaves in God's care; her husband, Pastor Manoah Collins; her mother, Nellie Lee, Bakersfield, California; her sons, Manoah J. Collins, Jr., and wife Toye, Hermitage, Tennessee, Kenneth A. Collins, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kelvin T. Collins and wife Angela, Williamsburg, Virginia and Rodney E. Collins, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her daughters, Roteshia Perry and husband John, Brentwood, Tennessee, Tiamoya Collins, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Yolantrice Collins, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jamela Hughes and husband Damien, Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers; sisters; 13 grandchildren; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The Worship Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church, 5th & Seminole streets in Okmulgee. The Christian Committal will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
