Obituary

On January 18, 1943, a baby boy was born to Willie and Esther Mae [Logan] Scott in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. they named him Willie Anderson Scott, Jr. Willie lived with his parents until he reached the age of 15, when he moved to St. Louis and worked for the Railroad for 27 years.


After he retired, Willie began to take care of his father until he passed, and he began to enjoy his favorite pasttime, fishing.


Willie met a young lady and they had a son, Willie Anderson Scott, III. After her death, he met and married Louella Blaine and he joined Old Agency Baptist Church, where his wife attended under Pastors A.H. and Marlene Jones. They later separated and he moved into the Senior Citizens Tower. He then joined the Sandtown Baptist Church in Wagoner until his own health began to fail. Mr. Scott was a devoted church worker and he believed in helping others.


After 65 years of life, Willie Anderson Scott, Jr., was visited by the "Angel of Rest" on Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2008 in Muskogee.


He leaves to lament his death; his son, Willie Anderson Scott, III; his step-sons, Denorvel Blaine, Chauncey, Dwayne and Alonzo, who preceded him in death; a step-daughter, Trina Curry; his sister, Dorothy McNac; his ex-wife, Louella Scott Blaine; 11 grandchildren, Monta, Willie Anderson Scott, IV, Kevin, Kiera, Ciera, Jamelle, Osborn, Alonzo, LaShone Bush, Lucretia, Charles and Cutean Curry, Sr.; 6 great-grandchildren, Trina, Sterling, Cutean Jr., Parrish, Maurice and Chiquitta; a daughter-in-law, Lachelle Osborn; a nephew, Michael & wife Janet McNac; a special brother-in-law, Ray Blain, Sr.; a sister-in-law, Willie B. Parker; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The final tribute will be on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., Graveside ceremony in the Evergreen Cemetery at Gibson Station, Oklahoma.

Friends will assemble at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM and the funeral cortege will depart for the cemetery at 10:30 AM.
