Obituary
Mr. Willie Tate, Jr., in his 36th year, transitioned from life to everlasting on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from Dallas, Texas.
Willie was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on March 1, 1976, the son of Willie Tate Sr., and Angenette Vanhook Simmons. He grew up and attended school in Muskogee and was affectionately called "Pokid" and "Hookie".
He enjoyed hanging out with his family friends and had an outgoing personality. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Angenette Vanhook Simmons, his grandmother, Annabell Underwood and a sister, Natee'Che Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Willie [Bubba] Tate, III, Gavin Mareese Mitchell and Yasmine Michelle Tate; his father, Willie "Junior" Tate, Sr.; his sisters, Catina Dorsey [Kevin], Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cyntilya Bell, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sharon Billings-Matheny [Darryl], Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Wenedra Bell, Wichita, Kansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Service of Memory for Mr. Tate will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Saint Mark Baptist Church. Reverend Rodger L. B. Cutler, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Doyle Cemetery at Yahola, Oklahoma.
You may visit Mr. Tate on Wednesday from 12 Noon until 6 PM @ the funeral home in Muskogee.
