Life's Reflections

WILMA LOUISE THURMAN LITTLES was born on October 15, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Leroy Littles.

Wilma took college courses and worked for Waldo Jones St., Attorney at Law. Wilma was then employed by Rockwell until they were bought by Boeing. Wilma began work on June 11, 1962, and retired on July 26, 1996.

Wilma was a very kind, sweet, soft-spoken lady who loved her family very much. She became a parent to Kathy, her youngest sister, and Reuben, her youngest brother.

Wilma participated in all Varick church activities as a pianist, in the senior and young adult choirs, as a member of the Trustee Board for 25 years or more, she went to mass meetings, was President of The District Missionary Conventions for more than 30 years, as well as was a Sunday School teacher. Mother Willa Mae Harris was a homemaker, and her father, Lewis Tousant Thurman, worked at American Airlines. Both of her parents as well as two brothers and two sisters preceded Wilma in death.

Wilma was a loving person; she would do anything to help anyone, adult or kids. She would give someone a ride to school, work, and church and back. She was a very intelligent woman who had an effect on many lives of the young people of the church and others who came into contact with her. She had a host of friends and special friends including, Reverend Dorothy Redd, Viola Riser, Crystal Flemings, and Brenda Myers.

Wilma leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Christina Renae Monday of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Willa Dean Tyler (Roy) of Texas, and Kathy Eilene Thurman Jackson of Tulsa, OK; grandkids, Tameika Dawn, Traci Renae, and Kirk Darnell of Tulsa, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and many cousins in and out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Wilma Littles "after Four-score and Four Years"  surrendered his soul on Saturday morning, January 20, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
