Ms. Wyina L. Manning, 77, made her "Final Transition Beyond The Hills" on Tuesday evening, November 6, 2012 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On June 3, 1935, a baby girl was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma from the loving union of R. C. and Phillia Mae [Pete] Williams. They named her Wyina Lee. She was the third of twelve children born into this family.
Wyina grew up and attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where she graduated from Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1955.
She united in Holy Matrimony with Leanthis "Laddie" Manning. She attended New Salem Baptist Church, and enjoyed knitting and crotcheting. Although she grew up and attended church in Okmulgee, she has lived in Tulsa since 1956.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Ms. Manning leaves in God's care; three brothers, Robert Williams and Charles Williams, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Claude Williams, Sr., of Okmulgee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The final hour with Ms. Manning will be shared on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at a graveside ceremony in the Beggs City Cemetery. Reverend David Burks, Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church, will officiate.
