It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Yemane Thomas Andu Jr. who left this world far too soon at the tender age of 17.

Born on July 22, 2007, Yemane was a vibrant, loving, and determined young man who brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him. Known for his sweet and caring nature, Yemane also had a stubborn streak that kept life interesting. At just 16, he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Layhani, into the world, embracing fatherhood with courage and love. Though balancing school, work, and parenting was no easy
task, he faced it with determination and an unyielding devotion to his little girl.

A proud 11th-grader, Yemane was working toward finishing high school but, tragically, didn't get the chance to complete his education. Despite life's challenges, he celebrated a major milestone when he purchased his first car at 17—a prized possession that brought him endless joy and a sense of independence.

As a child, Yemane was full of energy and passion. He loved playing basketball with friends and could often be found immersed in PlayStation games, living life to the fullest in every moment.

When he wasn't working hard at the daycare from Monday to Friday, Yemane spent his days raising Layhani and bringing both joy and chaos to his mother's life. His bold decisions may have tested her patience, but her love for him never wavered. Yemane will be deeply missed by his loving family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will continue through his cherished daughter, Layhani.

Per his wishes services were privately held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, under the direction of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors Inc., of Muskogee.
