On June 17th, 1936 Robert Sr. and Alma Woods-Bradley were blessed with a baby girl in Carpenter, Mississippi. They named her Yvonne Bradley, she was the third born of eight siblings. Yvonne attended school at Jefferson County and graduated from Lidell High School in Mississippi. She later moved from Mississippi to Michigan. While there she met and married James T. Williams. Together, they were blessed with five wonderful children: Bryant, James, Burnella, Jamesina, and Joel. While in Michigan she worked at the VA Hospital and as Co-pastor at Full Gospel Church. In 1974, Yvonne and James moved their family to Huntington, Tennessee to their calling to open a church. She was a Traveling Evangelist in a group called the Holy Lights and many souls were saved and delivered. While at home she was a seamstress and homemaker.
On March 18th, 2015, at the age of 78, Yvonne Williams was called into her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alma Bradley; brother, Tommie C. Bradley; and four sisters -Lilian Horton, Mable Smith, Lozell Fishback and Lorraine Bradley Clayton. She leaves to cherish her memories, sister, Mamie Lou Davis of Gramercy, LA.; her son's, Bryant Bradley of Houston, TX. ; James Williams of Houston, TX. Joel Williams of Houston, TX. and daughters Burnella Owens of Hawaii; and Jamesina Williams of Tulsa, Ok. She was a devoted grandmother to sixteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday March 27, 2015 at 2PM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit Mrs. Williams on Thursday from 12Noon until 7PM in Tulsa.
