Obituary

On August 16, 1922, Frank and Aretta Lewis, along with an older sister, Warree, welcomed Zenola Mae into the family in San Antonio, Texas. Two years later, a third addition was added to the family, Frankie.

After being in many areas of employment, she moved to Seattle, Washington and began to work for the Boeing Airplane Company in 1955. She was there for five years before she met Charlie B. White in 1960.
In 1961, they fell in love and became husband and wife.

Having a great love for children, Zenola became very active in the church as a Sunday school teacher. And with no children of her own she decided to become a foster parent in 1967. That year they were blessed to foster a little baby boy named Dwayne Anthony. They fell in love with him so within six months they decided to adopt him and Dwayne became Dwayne Anthony White. They lived in Seattle until 1979 when they decided to move to Haskell, Oklahoma.

Being a true child of God and always wanting to help others, Zenola volunteered in several community services such as the Muskogee Co-Op program and she continued her service to the Lord as Sunday School teacher at the church of Christ in Redbird, Oklahoma.

She always had the mindset to help those who needed help especially those who needed spiritual guidance and taught many about God and how to rely on Him when life's troubles would appear. When she became ill in 2010, she still continued to speak of God's goodness in her life.

On June 5, 2013, God called her home to be at rest and receive her reward for a life well served on this earth. And because she let her light so shine she will be greatly missed by many.

Zenola is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie B. White, and sister Warree B. McCoy. Those remaining to cherish her memory are sister Frankie Hartfield, son Dwayne White (Traci), nephews: Elward Hartfield, Albert Hartfield, Phillip McCoy and Frank Hartfield and nieces: Barbara Bartlow (Bill), Bidgie Froe and Stephanie Hartfield. She will be missed by a great number of church
family and host of friends.

Her services will be Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 10AM at North Sheridan Church of Christ in Tulsa.

Interment will immediately follow at the Haskell City Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit Mrs. White as she peacefully rests on Monday from 12Noon until 7PM in Tulsa.
