OLLIE MAE HIGGS WAS BORN TO OSCAR HIGGS SR. AND HATTIE DUNN HIGGS ON APRIL 2, 1942 AT OKTAHA, OKLAHOMA. THE FAMILY LATER MOVED TO OKMULGEE WHERE THEY SETTLED AND SET THEIR ROOTS.
